Crime Fiction

Crime fiction is a book that has been written in order to keep the reader glued to the story. These are stories that are not true, but they deal with crimes. The boundaries for these fiction stories are hazy. Crime fiction could be thought of as a mystery novel, a suspense novel, and even a horror novel. There are several sub-types, such as the detective fiction, legal thrillers, the courtroom drama, and the downright hard-boiled fiction books. In the 1900s, crime fiction books were first considered a types of book. There were several crime fiction books published in the 1800s, but they were not considered a distinct genre back then. In 1839, Norwegian Hansen published a crime fiction novel called the “The Murder of Machine Operator Rolfsen.” Another great author of crime fiction novels was Edgar Allan Poe. One of the landmarks in the history of crime fiction was the evolution of the locked room mysteries. The Sherlock Holmes crime fiction novels were singularly responsible for the enormous popularity for the publishing of more crime fiction novels.
