Anne Perry

Anne Perry was born in Black Heath, London England on October 1938 as Juliet Hulme. Anne moved quite a bit during and after the war. She was severely ill at the age of six, once healed from that she had many more illnesses. She was moved to the Bahamas at age eight in the hope was that the warmer climate would assist her in the fight against tuberculosis. There a foster family took her in and helped change her life.

Anne Perry has written over twenty million books so far in her career. She got off to a rough start. She wrote her first book, "The Cater Street Hangman" in her twenties and it did not get published until her late thirties. It was not until she wrote a book in a different time period (the Victorian London Period) that she got her first publication. Anne won the Edgar award in 2000 for her short story titled "Heroes" and was nominated for a Macavity Award. Perry is committed to publishing at least two books per year and some short stories too. Her upcoming publications are "A Christmas Grace" coming out in October 2008 and "Execution Dock" arriving in March 2009.

Ms. Perry has had her own brush with murder as well. She and a girlfriend from her teenage years, were convicted for her friend's mothers murder. Both girls served a sentence of five years. They were to never see each other again as a condition of their sentencing. Anne Perry is currently living in Scotland.
